Tennessee tallied 570 points in winning its first national collegiate wakeboard title. Chico State, the 2010 national champion, finished runner-up with 540 points. Florida (360 points), Wisconsin-La Crosse (320) and Wisconsin (294 points) rounded out the top-five placements in the 13-team field.

Each team was comprised of four male wakeboard riders, two female wakeboard riders, and one wakeskater (a wakeboard division rider was allowed to ride in the wakeskate division). This year's team competition was overhauled to resemble that of the IWWF Wakeboard World Championships, where each level of riders would compete to earn points to contribute to a team’s score. With this format, each division moved the best riders toward their respective finals and a team’s performance could not hold back an individual. In addition to a team champion, individual men's and women's national champions also were crowned.
